“The Scarlet Pimpernel” is an action/adventure show based on Baroness Orczy’s famous 20th century novel about the French Revolution:  the battle for Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.  The dialog and lyrics are at times funny and at others horrifying.  The music is moving and passionate.  This show is a terrific way to learn about 18th century French and British history.

A funny, romantic show about an established composer and his relationship with an aspiring young female lyricist.  Professionally, their relationship works beautifully – but ultimately leads to conflict on the home front.  Of course, there’s a happy ending.

When a Baker and his Wife learn they’ve been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell. Everyone’s wish is granted at the end of Act One, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results. What begins a lively irreverent fantasy in the style of “The Princess Bride” becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.

“Goin’ Courtin” has never been as much fun as in this rip-roaring stage version of the popular MGM movie. Millie is a young bride living in the 1850’s Oregon wilderness whose plan to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law to ensure the success of her own marriage backfires when the brothers, in their enthusiasm, kidnap six women from the neighboring town to be their brides. Bursting with rambunctious energy of the original film, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is all boisterous fun and romance that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical.
